Julia Rowland is an award-winning writer, producer and director. Her short film credits include Cherry (2016), and Sorry For Your Loss (2017). Her writing has appeared in Toronto Life Magazine, The Antigonish Review, The Bookends Review, and other online and print publications.

As a multifaceted storyteller, Julia has also worked as a producer for various production companies including Corus Entertainment, Diamond Integrated Marketing and Efran Films. She’s also worked as a story-editor for both narrative features, documentary series, and factual programming.

Despite disliking camping or any vigorous outdoor activities, Julia gravitates towards stories where landscapes and nature play an integral part in the narrative. Rearranging was recently part of Whistler Film Festival’s 2021 Producing Lab and was pitched as part of the Power Pitch competition at WFF.

Julia also writes a wine blog called JuliaDrinksWine, which she updates sporadically.
